Club Nets
« on: May 08, 2013, 03:46:59 PM »

So I've moved to London, a bit later than planned due to slightly changing my plans. I'm going to stick to playing with Farnham for this season (as I'm pretty much guaranteed my place in the line-up and to open the batting, and it might be a bit late to get straight into a new team).

However, I don't want to go all the way to Farnham for nets during the week. Does anyone know a team I could just go to nets with in London or in/around Hatfield, just for this summer, would be willing to pay a fee if that helps? I don't think there will much of a positive response to this, as I want to be practising my batting not my bowling. Not sure people will be keen for me to take up batting time and not play for the team?

Thanks anyway guys.

If you were happy to gamble on a team where you would be guarenteed a batting spot, my team net at north mymms so if you were to consider playing you could net weekly with us?

I'm going to see if we can get some nets at the HAC lined up.
Not sure how much luck I will have as their corporate calender is brimming full.

If I do get something lined-up I'll be sure to let you know.

Oh, the Jester, it's a gun!

I've only just realised it is narrower than standard!
Still, I've got a 20/20 game tomorrow and I will use it ahead of the Tempo (that's praise indeed btw!).

I'll email you if I get lucky.
Oh, if you do find somewhere, see if there are two slots. I love to practice my fielding more than batting!

How did the Jester go?

I suppose the problem with netting with my side would be  as a batsman you would be taking up a space that a player would want with no interest in playing for the club.

Its a shame though as we are always after new members
