Who makes the best performing bats?
« on: May 13, 2013, 06:40:40 AM »

So from your experience who on the whole makes the best performing bats?

Obviously every batmaker produces a cracking bat but who do you believe produces the best performing bats time after time?

every MH distinction that i have used or tapped up has been superb, closely follwed by B&S from south africa. The BB bats i have had/sold to teamamtes all go well to.

I have nver used a top of the line GN, Kook, GM, Adidas or Slazenger.

Of the volume companies I'd say that Salix have a well deserved reputation. Custom built smaller volume would be harder to choose as I think every bat has to really perform. Not naming names but there are some custom builders on here who produce bats that you just never see up for re-sale which to me tells its own story. We all have our own favourites.

Very hard to say
It is hard because most of us (noticed I said most) have not experienced most of the brands out there
Salix has a very good reputation though

Has anyone ever had a TK bat that wasnt a good performing bat?

Personally every bat I have ever seen come from either Choice or SAF have been excellent performers.

Last on the list, and only because I have only seen a handful of his bats (with excellent feedback on the others) and also as he only makes a limited number,is Marcus at Affinitiy. I have played around with a couple of them and they were what I can only describe as guns!

I still think any bat maker given the right willow makes a top bat.

Salix is a great shout. What about M&H and Screaming Cat?

Also what do you mean when you say 'who'; the brand as a whole or a specific bat maker?

My screaming cat is a net bat. it is no where near the performance of my thruxton, followed by my BB.

So in my opinon Newbery wins.

The best bat I ever had was a Torpedo. It was basically a middle with a handle! Closely followed by a Salix POD- Unfortunately this broke early on! My new Kippax has the potential to be up there though!

My SAF custom is an absolute rocket considering it is light at 2.8 - and has an unbelievably light pick up - feels lighter than my GM Icon 2.8

My Laver SR (cheaper L&W) is also a gun (2.8 as well)

With the greatest of respect this has to be the most pointless thread ever posted! It's like asking who makes the best house!
