So 2 weeks back, I was fielding very short mid-wicket and someone's pulled a long hop straight into the inside of my ankle(just above the ankle bone, on to the side of my shin). It swelled up quite a lot and I still have a lump about the same size as my ankle bone, just above it which is quite badly bruised still. I had all of the colours under the sun in my bruising below and around my ankle and it was extremely painful to walk.
Since then I have been waiting for the swelling to subside to figure out what to do. In the week and half since I did it, I struggled to walk and since then I have been using quite a good ankle support which I have for when I badly sprained my ankle.
Now I can walk on my ankle with the ankle support, but not 100% and when I do not wear it my ankle starts to hurt a fair bit. There is pain when I feel the lump and also there is tightness/pain when I lift my foot up or put it down on the inside of my ankle. So I just wanted some help in what this could actually be, such as bruising the tendons or?
On another note, I did tap this upto our bowler who took the catch.
