New Bag
« on: May 23, 2013, 09:35:38 AM »

Hello

I've just switched back to a duffle bag as changing room space in limited at my home ground. I have a Newbery GT duffle but its too small. When that is carrying pads bats gloves and whites I have to carry my helmet and spike separately.

Looking for a decent sized duffle with separate helmet and shoe compartments.

Or I guess the same sized bag as my Salix Pod Pro but stand up!

What about with whites Roco, I take 2 pairs of trousers, paying shirt, jumper, several pairs of socks, baselayers etc, which gets quite bulky

You could fit in one set of whites. But I take a small holdall to fit mine in with my shower stuff and my bat repair kit.

There is/was a Salix duffle in the for sale section - that would do the trick, they fit everything - although don't have a separate lid bag.

I have a soft pocket for that, which I keep my lid and gloves in...!

to be honest I'd just like it to fit my masuri in the main compartment, but the only chance I have of that with mine is the helmet perched on top of the pads, that with no whites in there

Why several pairs of socks and 2 pairs of trousers?

This comes to packing technique... I put my lid in first (with gloves stuffed inside the lid), then pads, then thigh pads and stuff everything else in the whatever room is left...

I load them up for the weekend. Minimum of 1 pair of socks for each innings, a third pair for after the game maybe. Same on Sunday's.

I'll have a go, there is a boot pocket at the bottom but this impacts on the inner space, it also isn't A good design to open up
