Crossfit is amazing mate, Perfect for rugby.

Dont need a gym just look online and modify the exercises to suit you. I've never sweat so much in my life. Gets you fit and strong.

Rugby is a sport that requires a variety of fitness components, dependent on your currently condition, physique and fitness will depend on where you should start, as well as the position you play.

Key components: Upper body strength, Leg Power, Speed, Agility, Quickness (SAQ), Reaction time and Stamina should be your main aims.

Strength and power, Dumbells and weights / One Rep Max (both arms and Legs)

Speed, find a long steep hill or down hill treadmill

SAQ, Illinois Agility Test (google it)

Reaction time, Tennis ball drills, similar to cricket drills.

Stamina, go for long runs and aim to decrease your time, also aim to run longer.

I'd always base training around the three main strength movements- Bench Press, Squat and Deadlifts
