Absolutely. MSD is one among the best sportsmen with good spirit and heart.
Would you agree if I was to say the india squad would fall apart without dhoni

It was falling apart with Dhoni not so long ago so who knows. Kohli and Sharma have shown leadership potential, their styles may be different to MSD but again who knows. A captain is only as good as his team and vice versa.

There is no one with even half a chance of taking over apart from Kohli surley

This will be true as of today but who knows what tomorrow holds. Gambhir was running for Captaincy at one stage as well. But you are right having captained the international under 19 and Royal Challengers in IPL, Kohli will be an obvious choice. MSD will probably carry on till next world cup at least.

India were under pressure for 95% of the match after setting a low target and having to defend it yet kept their heads. England were under pressure for 5% in the crucial last 3 overs and bottled it.

OH. MY. GOD. seriously, what have I just witnessed? granted India played well, or Jadeja and Ashwin bowled well and MSD saved his side, BUT...what were england playing at? they were total rubbish, whether it be cook guiding the ball to first slip, or jos buttler trying to leather his first ball through midwicket on middle and off. We need to take a long hard look at our side, especially before the ashes. I think Bell was given out very unfairly, however everyone else gave it to them. We were a total shambles, and this is epitomised by the tim bresnan run out...wow. Ultimately where we lost was morgan and bopara giving their wickets away when they were our last proper batsman, however, we should not have been in that position in the first place, our top order should have functioned. As said before, the only pressure we were under was the last 3 overs, where we should have walked it at 20 from 16, but then came the two wickets, and cue the choking.

Well done India and MSD in particular.

Really? We made the final and nearly beat the world champions who glided through the rest of the tournament completely unopposed. Poor performance from tge batters but hardly the end of the world!

20 overs a side playing into India's hands as they would of required very few tweaks. England would not be playing Cook/Trott for starters and our t20 team would of been very different. If this tournament was worth anything to anyone they would of had a spare day. Rather get smashed by India over 50 overs and say fair enough than play a cobbled together t20. Then again if we had won it...  ;)

May be. Ganguly had a hold on the squad. He was respected very much and all his decisions were believed by the team members. Now the same happens to dhoni. I would say he is the successor of Ganguly.

That sounds interesting. May be there could be a year round test match tournament, but where is the time for it?  If time allows it, I hope it had been started. Also, hearing about considering 50 over cricket as 1st innings (25 - 25) - 2nd innings (25 -25) i doubt if ICC is having any idea on this.

The ICC test world championship has been in the offing for ages. It was supposed to start this year, but thanks to TV rights, the Champions Trophy has a last hurrah.

There's not a massive amount of point in a "T2x Test". It's essentially the same as a a single 50 over innings, with the proviso that you have more opportunity to bat if you cock it up first time around. I'm not sure what impact it would have on spectator numbers.

Apparently the world test championship is now due to start in 2017, and will last a few years. Wonder what theyll do if theres a draw in the knockout stages

I reckon a 4 day format would work really well for the test championship. Combine that with lively pitches and I think it'll be every bit as exciting as the shorter tournaments.
