Bowling Machine
« on: June 22, 2013, 12:21:49 PM »

Anyone got any ideas about a cheap bowling bowling machine? I know Paul sells this one:

Anyone got any experience with them or other types (if they exist..)?

We have the paceman in stock now.

There aren't too many other options unless you fork out for a BOLA.

I'll slap something on youtube in the week. It's a pretty good piece of kit to be honest.

Did you put a video on youtube in the end? Just wondering if moving it quicker to the batsman really works and what pace it simulates by moving it quicker?

I also would have thought that by moving it closer it doesnt swing as much, is this the case?

my club has one for juniors, can go up to 60 ish mph but you move it closer for quicker, the balls are a lot lighter than bolas, but for the price they do an decent job. But they arn't a bola.

We have them at barrington sports.  Used one for the first time last week, pretty handy piece of kit for the price.  Im tempted by one myself, can get some nice swing on it.  The balls are very light so no need to use pads really.

used one recently. Didn't like it and doesn't come close to the quality and performance of my Bola. Don't waste your money, save up and get a bola
