Bowling Speed Radar Gun
« on: June 25, 2013, 04:56:47 AM »

Has anyone actually had any experience with anything decent?

Everything I've ever really seen has been of awful quality (don't even bring up those balls that thought they could tell you the speed :p)

Spartan have bought this out however

Interested in how it is.

Does anyone have any videos showing the spartan one working?
Also does anyone have any experience with this http://www.bushnellspeedster.com/speedster-2/    ?
I've seen the Bushnell one for sale in a couple of cricket shops.

Hi, I just bought this spartan speed gun. sorry for bringing up an old post. I have no idea where to place this. If you place it near the batsman end doesn't that show the speed of the ball as it reaches the batsman rather than when it leaves the hand. Where to I exactly place it? side on, or front on? please if anyone could help that'd be great.

I have one thats similar used with a bowling machine and it is roughly 16-17mph slower at the batsman end. Just set it up where short leg would be facing towards mid off found it to be pretty accurate.
