Cheap "English Willow" Bats
« on: July 09, 2013, 03:54:22 PM »

Recently smashed my Players Edition GM, and im not in a rush to spend big money on a new bat until next season now so iv been browsing various websites and Ebay and I was wondering has anyone from here actually used one of these? or a slimier one.. hundreds of them on Ebay..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Brand-New-English-Willow-Cricket-Bat-MIDS-20-20-/151078541347?pt=UK_SportingGoods_CricketBats_SM&hash=item232cfb9823

I know you cant be expecting much for the price; nor the quality of the "English Willow".

But that aside if anyone knows any cheap quality bat's (£100 marker) would love to know where from!

speak to our forum sponsors - MSR might, for example, tick your box!

I think MSR or Vitas would be your choice, I got 2 bargain bats off Vitas for £90, excellent value for money. :) If you want a big brand, I would recommend a Gray Nicolls Powerbow Strike, just ask around and see if any retailers have one with a clear scuff sheet as opposed to ones with the grain sheet. There are some pics of a lovely one I picked out from a retailer:

To echo what others have said. Although im fairly new to the forums ive had a good scan and the forum sponsors always seem to produce something for the needy cricketer! I personally got an MSR for a very reasonable price and would recommend contacting Steve
