I take a lot of what I hear with a pinch mate! M&H and Laver made most of the bats every pro was using in the 90's, so I understand.

Talking of Milly, my mate went down today, came back £700 lighter. I am seeing his new Master tomorrow. I'll take some pics and pop it up on here. In fact I'll try get some pics of all the lads bats in one and get some feedback and give you all some opinions on them, given I have tapped them all up

Wasn't knocking your information bud, not in the slightest. Just saying you head a lot of rumours on here.

Never understood why Hawk are not thought more of, and are not considered to be as good. Lots of them round Shropshire, and never seen a rubbish one.

Sounds like Broad is the new Sachin, with everyone claiming to make his blades.

Ultimately, i think players try/use an awful lot of bats from various sources. Of course that manufacturer (if they want to) will then claim they make bats for said player, even if said player only picked up a couple of bats to take and try in nets when they visited.

Some internationals are kit badgers just like us, so it would be silly to assume that they only stick to one manufacturer when there will be a plethora of bat makers offering to supply bats to them.

He should have walked, yes. However Clarke should have walked in 2010. It happens, and as Strauss said earlier on Sky, that's just the game now.

Gilly was the only walker in a field of standers. Doesn't make it right, just seems acceptable in some circles.

For me personally, did take the shine off today, as when I watched them walk off, instead of looking at the scorecard and thinking bosh, we've got the buggers on the ropes, I felt Broad should be gone and we would possibly be 8/9 down.

Still, it all works itself out in the end. Never liked him anyway to be honest. Over rated.....

I digress...nice bats though ;)

just because one person/team cheats (or doesn't play in the right spirit) doesn't mean everyone else has to do it. I know at lot of people only care about winning but what impression does it give to us mere mortals.. or the youngsters.. If you play hard, play fair and in the right spirit then more people will also do it as 'it's what you do'.. currently we seem to be heading down the wrong path towards people basically screwing each other over

And me. When I was there a couple of weeks ago they had raw clefts set aside for Broad which they were showing a young visitor to the shop.

The umpire has a job to do let him do it.

That's Ian Chappell theory and mine had too many bad uns

As with broads bats I have seen a actual bat of his was a sareen.

But as people allude too be could and will use many different makers
