That is some serious kit there! How do you choose what bat to use?!

The AJK was the bat for last season. It's a beautifully balanced bat and after about 100 runs it really started to fly. I purchased the 'Toro' from IJC (thanks to IJC again) with the idea of using it during my T20 season, however in the first game I tore a knee ligament and missed the rest of a short 6 week season :( In the nets it's a really cannon, a bit heavier than I used to, but with the offset middle it picks up surprisingly well (I would say that the pressing on it is first class).

Nice collection of bats.

Affinity looks the best for me and Kudos very disappointing

I agree. I think that the Toro, which is G1 is the best looking of the bunch.

It looks the best willow wise but it also looks like it is a chunky bat with a lot of meat. Strange toe but it doesn't get used. What's the idea behind that?

Toe wise I only know what Paul has mentioned in his YouTube review, which was to do with more of a hitting zone and being good for Yorkers. For me I'm not sold on the claim, but the bat is a lovely piece willow and a big piece of wood, which is what I was looking for. I've only used it in the nets, but I did use it for some pre-game catching practice and ball really did travel. As long as I'm fit then I hope the Toro will be my T20 bat for next season (I'm hoping to play in 2 mid week leagues next year) with the AJK or Kudos as Saturday match bats.

Basically I think the toe is part of the middle aswell as the toes been cut of so the blade is shorter and the handle is longer allowing for a huge bat that's mainly all middle

The RPC does have a very long spine, which is very prominent for nearly the whole length of the bat :) I'm yet to use it in the nets, but I'm defiantly looking forward to it!

That's one of the nicest collections I've seen mate! How do they all compare vs each other (presume the AJK is your favourite?).

Just out of interest presume you did the cleanups? What grades of sandpaper did you use?

Yes currently the AJK is my favourite, but I haven't used the Kudos yet.

I used a P120 very carefully on a electric sander then P180 and P240 by hand (if I had some I might have gone to P360). Oiled them and left to dry for a week and a bit then new scuffs.

Just finished doing a light refurb on on my Laver and AJK ready for winter nets in the New Year. Unfortunately this is depending on a knee scan tomorrow :(

New for the coming season are the Kudos (from Paul at IJC many thanks) and RPC (last minute on eBay).

Bats: Laver 2'11 (arrived as ordered @ 2'9 less than a year ago!), AJK 2'9, Kudos 2'9, RPC 2'10 and Toro 2'13
Batting Pads: Salix Pod Players
Gloves: Salix Pod One
Thigh Pad: Stretton Fox
Shoes: Nike Lunar Dominate
Helmet: Masuri Titanium
Bag: Slazenger V360 (not shown)

Didn't get to play much last year due to the knee injury. So fingers crossed for a quick recovery and roll on next season.

OMG, beautiful collection, how is that RPC?
