I'd love the wheelie but it'd be a waste to buy one to store my spare kit in, I only really need a duffle
Having already got a new bag I know I shouldn't, but they're so tempting!
And if I had one I would be that sad muppet who put their initials on the card on the side...

Re: My kit for summer season 2013/2014 and winter 2014
« Reply #633 on: April 04, 2014, 07:32:47 AM »

Hi all,

I saw a photo from Vitas showing some lovely bats of his on another topic and it got me thinking that i should put something together with photos of my kit for the Australian season just passed and for the winter season i am playing. Firstly the Bats.

I have 5 bats in my kit bag. For those that dont know the bats. IN order from left to right.

Lekka HMX Signature. Gabba Glide Custom. Kookaburra Viper Pro Players. 666 Cricket (from James again) TPX profile and The last bat is the Hillrich Sports Red Python.
I was sponsored by Hillrich sports for the first half of my season and did have 2 of the red pythons but sold one as you can see i have more than enough  ;)
My main match bat was the Gabba Glide Custom which i hand selected the willow and was made to exactly how i want it.

Love the Gabba bat FLY. I had given consideration to buying one at one stage. Brilliant.

Procricketer how big is the duffle? would you think it would fit keeping gear in as well as whites and batting gear (no helmet though)? I am tempted but I don't want it to be too small, and how rigid is it stood up? cheers

tell you what, this afternoon I'll put a full set of whites, wash kit, batting kit (with spare gloves), helmet, wicket keeping kit, spikes all in the bag and show you. I'll stand it up. It's very rigid though so I think it'll stand up nicely BUT haven't tried it yet.

I'm gonna end up buying one by the end of the day I can sense it

from the measurements it looks like its gonna be taller and wider than the one I already have, so that should be good

Cheers that would be great

Still space left.. What else do I need ??

3 bats, pads, 2 x gloves, wk pads, wk gloves, wk inners, box, Strettons, helmet, wash kit, towel, 3 pairs of socks, undies, cricket undies, 3 x shirts, 2 x jumpers, 2 x trousers, spikes, 2 grips, grip applicator, bat tape roll, 2 balls, cap, sunnies..

Have I missed anything ? Still room left so zips etc are not remotely even close to straining.. Stands up better than any I've seen before.

ProCricketer think Cricketbadger was asking if you could fit all this in the duffle bag.

Oh crap, ok. I've got to take the mrs into town to drop her off so I'll unpack all that stuff and have another go into the duffle. Doubt I'll get it all in though. May have to lose a bat, all the spare clothes (well, other than spare socks, shirt).

Give me about an hour, apologies dude, my mistake

While I'd say it's a little less organised and would be hard for instance to get to the stuff at the bottom quickly.. Everything fits as in the first one. Still plenty of space spare for a keeping helmet etc etc

Mr ProC - may I ask, what are the gloves that aren't the Aldred gloves (if you see what I mean)?
