1.no but 70mm and bigger normally oversized
2. no but in the main yes hard to get
3. Depends what your after pick up is more important and pressing is 2nd not many not well pressed in my option as 90 per cent of bats the same.
4. Tk,and mr kember stable seem to press very well out there also b3 press there bats very well there so many who do it well and so many who get others to do it

thanks fatbats will keep you posted. love your bats only downside you're not that close to me so cant really pick out the cleft!
and procricket thanks for the info, much appreciated. Im still confused about the difference between overdried and lightweight clefts. Doesn't water content govern the weight of the bats? And if there is a lightweight cleft with a high water content - whats the difference between this and a overdried peice of willow? wouldnt they be just as likely to crack?

You get some clefts which are naturally lighter than others, but they are rare. I know that Ryan can get you an oversized cleft, and you would probably be spending around the £200 for a G1/LE grade willow. Give him a message, and see if he can help you with this. If you want to go local, then he's probably your best bet, makes a cracking bat, you can ask the folk on here who have had one! Since you are wanting quite a heavy bat, I'm sure that you will be able to get a relatively large bat even if the cleft isn't a lightweight one. :)
