If he wants to get forum sponsorship then he would want to be applying now so that he can get it some time next year!!!

Seems like the forum does not want new sponsors

Carlos from Trident is a nice bloke, popular brand in Barbados

I am sure that he is a decent fella. But at the moment, the only people who have given him a character reference are you (someone who is being moderated and is throwing crazy accusations at other batmakers) and I also got a lovely character reference from James Lekka via email...and I will let other forum members make their own minds up about how much they would take that as a reference.

Personally speaking, I am sure he is a decent bloke and would be a true asset to the forum. But we need to be consistent if we can!

How has James from Lekka heard about the post. Surely he doesn't have access to this site anymore.

Right lets clear a few things up...

1. there is a fee associated to being in the batmakers shed it is £5 per bat sold on the forum payable to the forum up to £15 a  month.

2. Trident are warmly welcomed onto the forum, I am pretty sure, but not certain they have applied for sponsorship but there is a delay in that as the forum owner has been/is on holiday.

finally - perhaps this thread could have been phrased:

Please re-open the Trident thread, we want to know more.

rather than what happened.

In the same way, other brands have done so, and where brands are transparent about their use of the forum. I use Redback cricket and Afinity cricket as examples of people who understand the limits of being a brand on here, but not a sponsor.
