No, I wanted Legend labels on it as I think they are by far the best but they will not fit them, since the bat was sold to me as a players bat I thought that this might qualify the Legend but I think it is purely a money spinning model and will be strictly sold at the top end price to maintain profits.

Having said that the bat I am waiting for is mean't to be custom made to my specifications and made from performance based clefts, basically asked for the best performing cleft, this should be big and possibly have tight clean straight grains as shown to us at Gunn & Moore last week.

Not really, having seen and indeed used some lovely ones in the past I feel a bit deflated after the last 2 bats. I think that GN Australia are miles ahead from the offerings I've seen.

Mike did you get direct from GN or a contact of yours? Agree with you about the legend labels, but they are tight bastards for not giving you them!

Direct from their stand at Lords this summer, I can understand them not wanting to label it up as a Legend if it is not that good, otherwise if it were it would get a great bit of free advertising on here.

The good GN's I've used have always been grade 3 or 2's and they've been great. The top models never really impressed me, I never felt like I was getting a lot more for my money. Will you send it back if it's another underwhelming offer?

I actually agree totally with the lower grades being better, I've had tight grained 5 stars and Extreme's before which were superb.

i was thinking the same thing. My preadator 5 start was one of my best bats. took some time to come to life - but it was brilliant. 5 grains!
