Anyone know the logic behind spiral at the top? ???

Better grip for the top hand.
Spiral is slightly heavier and helps in improving the pickup if placed at the top.

I put the spiral at the bottom. With the grip only weighing about 1.2-1.5oz I'm not sure the spiral end weighs that much more to make a difference. Nothing noticeable anyway.

It depends on what the player preference is. Most players like better control on the top hand, though some are bottom handed like Dhoni.

I'm unconvinced the spiraled end is really any thicker anyway, the spiral is raised form the chevroned section but it doesn't look or feel any thicker, what I do like though is their double thickness spirals.

You need the top hand to grip therefore putting the spiral at the top wouldn't make sense as it reduces grip. I thought the whole point of a hybrid was to thicken the bottom hand grip without resorting to 2 grips.

Has anyone asked Andrew at Salix why they put them on that way?

Yeah, Salix fit them all with the spiral part on the top hand, I just wondered why they did that when the general consensus here is that's not the right way round. There must be a reason.

I prefer spiral at the top, assuming the handle is not skinny at the bottom.
I prefer the feel of the spiral at the top with the top hand. I think it may be a personal thing. Whatever works for you!!

Seems spiral at the top, as tweeted by the salix apprentice batmaker.
