Bowling machines
« on: August 13, 2013, 09:09:10 PM »

Hello people

Does anyone know where I can get a cheap bowling machine from in the UK? I've looked at and am interested in a new Paceman Pro Bowling machine they are retailing for around £590 which I'm prepared to pay sadly at the moment they are only available for sale in Australia.

Suggestions and advice appreciated fella

Thanks in advance.

We will be stocking the paceman pro by the end of the month, prices are yet to be finalised, but feel free to pm me for a chat.

We'll be demo-ing it in store very soon and i will take some video and upload to youtube.

Do you know what the differences are between the Pro and the standard Paceman please Jake?

The pro (above) is able to produce deliveries at faster speeds, and also can be used with balls that are harder/heavier than the 2oz balls that the standard paceman uses.

Few more questions Jake, sorry to be a pain.
Do you know what speed it goes up to Mate?
Will the balls used in a Bola work in this one?
And last one (for now) can it be run off a battery or does it need to be mains powered?

If the price isn't too high and it doesn't need mains I could find myself very tempted by one of theses!

@vitas cricket many thanks for that bit of info rest assured I will be in touch as I'm having one so as you're stocking them the business is yours.

I've spoken to dimension sport who make these machines and they are retailing in Australia for around the £590 mark which I think is a good price. The speeds are up around the 120 kph mark which is about 74mph using the hard ball the power supply if not using the mains is sold separately as are the extra balls but it does come with the ball feed.

Pretty much what Dutch said, approx 75mph, and seperate power packs will be available I believe. Paceman balls are advised, I am yet to see their harder/heavier version but I can't see it being too dissimilar to a BOLA ball. I don't have a price yet, will work on that ASAP.

I have received your email Dutch :)

about time there was a real competitor for the bola machines.

I fail to see just why bolas are so expensive when they seem to have changed very little for 10 years...

What about Kanon? I have one, 120 kph max, self feed, up to 90 balls in the intake, and you can add swing ?
