Depends on the venue but I'd certainly be keen for it! Living in London and I'm from Worcester so fully a Southerner by forum standards!!

I'd be up for it.

What are the best dates/venues.

I'm right up in the North east which I imagine will be to far for southerners to travel to. Does anyone in the midlands know any nice grounds? Also someone said they would offer their ground in york as a venue, how many people would travel to York just out of interest

Hi

It was me, I am sure the pitch will still be available, depending on dates.

Saturdays are out, as are some Sundays and Wednesdays but generally the other days would be available with notice.

Weekday or Sunday?
Time start?
Number of overs/timed game?
and Would York be a suitable venue?

Like FattouschCattousch says, if we can get someone to organise it, it would be easier.

Bit of advice, based on experiences of organising forum stuff. You need a captain for each side. They need to be responsible for managing each sides participation. You also need a ground. Bear in mind that weekends have league cricket, which may get in your way.

Calculate what it is going to cost you before you even start so that everyone who says yes knows what they are committing to, and make sure that you have an escape clause with any ground. There can and will be drop outs...

Surely in situations like this a game in the midlands would be much easier with it being, obviously, in the middle of the country.

It is probably to late this season but if you get something on paper then next May/June on a Thursday could be a good bet

It would be lovely to see one of these games up north for a change.

I'm really southern and would struggle to get to the games arranged down South, flying up north may be the answer! Haha
