Hunts county reflex
« on: August 20, 2013, 09:02:52 AM »

Morning fellas,

Was over my cousins yesterday who live in huntingdon and I thought I would just poke my head in to have a ganders, and surprise surprise I ended up leaving with some new willow :)

I managed to get a hunts reflex, don't know what it weighs as I just done it on pick up and feel. got 9 grains with a dash of heartwood.
The blokes over there are top blokes and happy to help with anything, I got to see the bat making workshop and the back room where there are just bats after bat after bat.

Cheers guys

They're not the original stickers...have a look at these... One on the right was from about 1990 one on left is about 1992!!! 😉

I love those old school reflex stickers - shame they have abandoned the famous toe shape too... I might need to speak to county about making me another old style reflex!!!

It would be awesome to get a modern version of this - with thicker edges on a flat face with a slight bow in the face - but the awesome toe - possible with a little concaving at the top to allow for a really big swell in the middle... mmm

get the edges off the magnum and the unconcaved spine of the reflex and you have some bat!
