Well I was the one in the end that took a punt on the 22 grainer back last year and Paul very kindly knocked it in for me. It was a massive gamble as there have not really been any reviews of the ST bats and I made my decesion purely based on the photo's from ST's facbook page.
Had my first net session last night to put it through its paces. I was very rusty, the bat however was not! I have gone through a lot of bats in the last 5 years but none have matched my Laver PB. The Laver is now getting very tired having scored probably in excess of 4000 runs and countless net sessions. The ST straight from ball one is an absolute gun of a bat. The ping is out of this world and with the way the weight is distributed all over the bat, the middle is huge. Personally I am not a massive fan of having to play a bat in, I want something to go from ball one and this bat fits the bill. There are a couple of downsides to the bat, one its a little on the heavy side for me (I will get some weight taken off), two the handle is very thin (like a thick oval handle, like the SCAT's have). Personally feel handles are very underated and are probably one of the most important aspects of the bat, when your looking for a new one.
For £250 in today's market this is a amazing find, and hopefully with some weight taken off and tape under the grips to get it just how I like it, this will become my no.1 bat. Pic's will come later tonight.
