What pads are these? Or are the only for pros?

Why would slazenger only make them for the pros? when they could sell loads of them to the public!
Is it just me or does everything clarke uses look amazing

Its due to advertising, theres a limit on international players branding on equipment. But for the pads they sell to the public they put branding all over them so people recognise them easily. There the same pads really.

James they are fundamentally the same pads, so what your saying doesnt really make much sense - the pro's may have some more padding in the shin area and as raymond points out, they reduce the level of branding, but the only real difference in clarkes pads and the shop pads is purely the cosmetic finishing touches, but the difference really is only minimal and the pad is essentially identical.

if you compare clarkes in this picture:http://www.cricinfo.com/engvaus2009/content/image/417618.html?object=4578;page=2

to these slazenger pads on owzat: http://www.owzat-cricket.co.uk/acatalog/Elite_Pro_Ultimate.html

they seem quite a lot different, unless im missing something and there selling clarkes somewhere in the UK i havnt realised

his pads are more than likely to be custom made for him, as if you look at all of the pads he has worn over the last couple of years they are the same or very similar just with new logos or different colur trim etc and i dont think they are for sale anywhere,

as i was goin to be using the oz blade and the same gloves as clarke i was goin to get some plain pads similar to newbery sps and use them and maybe get my mum to sew some slaz logo's on taking off some of the cheap ones from sports world as i hate the slaz pads in the UK and in AuS!

Newbery Pro's use the standard shop kit, GN however must be inferior as when I was in the kit store at Robertsbridge they had sheets of extra padding to insert in the batting pads. Slazenger could ask FC Sondhi to knock up a pair with anything changed, they are all made by hand after all.
