As you can imagine I/we get a fair few people asking us if we can provide them with a bat which isnt our specialist market and having to stock 20+ to cater for the demand of various weights/profiles etc isnt something worth while to us so im more than happy to point people in Affinities direction as i know they will get the product and service that i would want to offer if we did it ourselves.

Congratulaions on the news! Pardon me if it is a daft question but what will happen to the softs? Will you work with Adidas on their softs range or is it something that will cease to continue? It would be a shame given the quality of protection offered by your pads and gloves....

Im afraid the Ayrtek branded softs will cease once we have sold through the existing stock. We would be more than happy to assist Adidas with their designs if they ask us

We have plenty of pads in stock currently so snap up some bargains

So Tom what does this mean for the likes of Carberry? Does this mean because he is using Kooka kit not Adidas kit he can't use an Ayrtek lid any more?

he had one yesterday an adidas one, he was behind the pavillion getting pictures withhis brand new lid, he looked happy with it but dont imagine he was too happpy when he wasn't picked

It will be interesting to see the shake up (if any) of internationals starting to use ayrtek /adidas. KP uses a masurai doesn't he - will he use the same as his bat & pads, you would think so.

What other pros use Adidas?

I don't think it will be an issue with Carbs.. I thought he used Ayrtek due to the better protection combined with his medical condition. Pretty sure that no commercial agreement will get in the way of him having piece of mind over his health.

Stuart Broad, RHB and Sachin are the other Adidas pro's I can think of.. Imagine cracking Sachin?! (Doubt it though, since he's always worn whatever he wants)

The other great opportunities I reckon will be IPL (since Adidas make some of the strips and even seem to provide coloured pads/gloves in some instances) and then the England team itself, since they do the strip too
