Stuart Broad's lid
« on: September 21, 2013, 01:11:27 PM »

Is an Ayrtek style on, in Notts green colour.

Did he always wear one like that, or is this a new thing?

Nice to see the England boys picking up the Aditek gear. Also noticed that James Taylor wasn't wearing an Ayrtek today...

As you can see with the tall Broad, he seems to be just a little excited and seems to be adjusting his helmet!  ;)
But alas he went for the huge slog with the first ball he faced (which was the last ball of the iniings anyway) and missed a straight yorker!  :(

He hasn't worn an Ayrtek for quite a while now, since he is now with Gray Nics, he wears their helmet, think it's been most of the season?

Ahh fair enough.. i have to say tom i was one of those people who massively doubted the ayrtek lids when they first come out and if i hadnt of got a cheaper one on here id probably still think the same.. but i have to admit how stupid i was .. The thing is incredible its borderline cheating it feels like you can see everything around you .. and its so much comfier than anything else i have ever worn.. have to say im officially an Ayrtekker.

Great to hear, alot of people make a snap judgement based upon the looks which we duly accept and embrace. The shape is geared towards the safety it provides which will become even more apparent once the new Bsi standard is published.

We realise if we and our retailers can educate people about the shape and we can get players who are looked upto (such as Broady) wearing them it will hopefully at least get people to try the products on and see the benefits for themselves.
