That looks like loads of fun. Nothing like playing on a Saturday in the summer, but looks better than the bike for fitness work.

Has anyone played any indoor matches yet this year??

Got my first one tonight, it will see me use my new AdiTek lid and Hammer bat (with Neon stickers though) for the first time  :D

Played two so far, 53* and 37*, bowling wise I've had 6-0-33-4 so the military medium swingers seem to be doing ok. Still think its a crap game though

I could get a hundred and a 5fer every week and still think it was a crap game! Had anyone other than the bloke who asked me to play done so they'd have been told to do one!

Played first game today. Rules are random and the sports hall is too small.

Opposition 100 all out of 9overs. Me 1 wicket.

Us 104for 0 of 6.3 overs! Me 25retired

Well that was interesting! Us 113-1 off 12 (me with a solid DNB) extras top scored
They chased them two down with 5 balls to spare (I lost it for us with a wide  :( )

Well it was good enough for Steve Rhodes and Richard Illingworth to play it. I opened the batting with David Leatherdale for the team I played for. Check it out on the link

Indoor Cricket Tri-Series 09 highlights

This is the Aussie rules indoor cricket, right? Its actually quite good fun. I have played a few games at the Play On centre in Canary Wharf.. going back a good 10 years or so, there were many centres like this up and down the country. I think its a world cup year.. being held in SA perhaps?

2 wins from 2 for our indoor team  :D
we were put into bat, posted 161, skipper finishing the last over with a flourish..  ;)
and then bowled out the oppo for 125 in the last over of the innings, so a comfortable win
we've already better last years record, where the team managed only one win!  :o

Played last night at Play On Sports in Canary Wharf and it was a very one sided affair.

We won comfortably by 189 runs! Nice warm up for the tougher games ahead...

Another win racked up yesterday.. We got to use a new ball, which was quite interesting as it swung all over the place!

Oppo posted 56, well below par score.

We were made to work hard for our win though, eventually ended up on 89

3 wins out of 3..!

Interestingly a fair few teams are struggling to raise sides in the cheltenham and Gloucester leagues this year. Big clubs too. Now I know I can't stand indoor cricket but I'd have thought it would have been popular enough to not have teams struggling to get 6 people.

Must say that playing glos uni this year was mighty unpleasant experience.
