I still have some of that first coloured clothing ours was an awful light blue trouser with hideous yellow shirts and jumpers. In fact the jumpers were still proper Aaron knitted ones. They looked dreadful. I still love the proper kitted sweaters in cream far better than these fleece things and last a lifetime but the yellow ones were truly minging

I think you should drag them out and show some pics Paul.. Haha

In fact I think we should run a weekly Bedtime Stories by Paul Aldred telling interesting stories from your career... Maybe even with "illustrations"  ;) :D

Chesterfield. It was one of the quickest tracks in the country in the mid 90s used to love playing there.

Beautiful setting too, if memory serves...

(May I have John Morris in reserve?)

I agree closely followed by pure white whites instead of cream

Agree with that Paul - 'coming in to bat - John Travolta'

I just pictured John Travolta strutting all the way from the pavilion to the middle to bat - in T20 format - "Staying Alive" song blasting over the PA system and Travolta refusing to put on a helmet as it will mess up his hair!!

Sad man Pete. I actually just pictured Pete dancing to "Staying Alive" in the living room while holding his match bat...in his bedazzled whites with hair slicked back

I also think it also looks rubbish when club sides wearing whites have 'a million' different brands and trim colours on display.
