Well done Ayrtek, can't understand why more pros don't already have one. Everything I've seen points to it being the best, so I ordered a Raw which should be delivered any day now.

They came last Friday as a school mate who works for them noticed a Facebook update and thought it would make a good story ;)

Couldn't have timed it better with Carbs going big on the runs front, had a tweet from someone in anglia saying it was on the news but not sure of ot was aired locally down here in the SW.

Do you have any Indian players signed up to wear these Helmets? It would be a good idea to get them to wear these...thats the easiest way of making anything popular :).

Btw..just curious...in a market like India where pricing is one of the biggest factors, how do you plan to counter the other brands? Surely this helmet would cost more than the other brands...

Same question as above^^^^
With the assumption that Adidas will be doing mass production of this helmet..will it help bring the price down ?

Are they over priced?

I personally thought they was quite readonable considering it protects an important part of my anatomy.

I do four track days a year, my helmet cost me 600+quid. I don't drive in a way that I'll have an extreme crash, and always slow and get out of the way of idiots quickly. So doubt it'll ever be used, but glad it's there for if I do.

My ayrtek is a raw, so cost me 250, I bat 3times a week in summer, once a week in winter, I play the pull and hook, dilscoop and reverse sweep, I've been hit 5times in the helmet and twice in the face when not wearing one I. The last 6years.
Not to mention the times quickie have tried to hit me with bouncers.

Quality not quantity IMO, Which means personally I'd have paid more for the best helmet on the market.

Helmets have been seeded with marquee Indian players we just need to get them being used now, we have looked at pricing for the Indian market and have worked on an Indian specific model to cater for the market there as we realise it operates at different price points to the UK/Oz markets etc.

I also have a raw. I bought it because I had a premier I bought on eBay and loved it, and I then thought why not have the best I can afford. I've had 3 balls hit me on the head and a handful hit me in the grille (usually via an edged sweep shot) while playing, so having the best protection on the market gives me peace of mind.
Hopeful it won't ever happen, but if my AdiTek is required to do its job, even just once, it's money well spent.

Also shows what a bargain the original premier with acis was.

Great that the helmets are getting coverage, lets hope carberry gets a full series. Already grabbing commentators attention, initial scepticism and mockery will lead to curiosity and then understanding-it's human nature!

rule number one of sales-if you're selling well at a certain price in a certain market, you keep selling at that price minimum!

Similarly, I bought a Raw for the same reason.

Good to hear that..I hope they do really well in the Indian Market! :) .. the shape of the helmet is it's biggest challenge imo...if you can get a few indian players to wear it then it would help make this a popular choice.

Maybe Adidas can pursue its sponsored players Sachin and Raina to give it a go..maybe it will help Raina overcome his short ball fear factor...now that's a strong business case!! :D
