Met the man behind Affinity
« on: November 14, 2013, 12:25:19 AM »

Spent a good while with Marcus today. He was kind enough to show me the timeline of things he'd worked on and also a few of the things he's got in the pipeline. And I haven't even bought a bat directly from him. My Spectre is third hand.

Great bloke with the right blend of developing/incorporating the modern while using time served craftsmanship.

I case anyone is wondering, when I said it was a third hand bat it is the one Simmy won and Chad bought off him (but couldn't compare to Simmy's upper body strength) so he sold it on to little old me.

I too must be lacking in the upper body strength department as I asked Marus to reduce some of the weight and change the profile a little. Very happy now.

And yes I did see the 'Genesis moment' while he was working under somebody else. I also saw Simons bat with which he scored his first 50 with being brought back to life.

Ahhh you met 'The Prince' - very passionate guy about his equipment - I like his bats very much.

He's also the only batmaker on here to style himself as (and I quote) "a total bell-end"!!

And the persona can be what you want it to be if you want it in a nice box or have gold plated letters on it I sure Marcus will sort it for you so a persona could be the best custom experience you can get as I get the impression that they will do what you ask  :D
