Best Youth Glove/Pads for £45?
« on: January 08, 2014, 06:38:09 PM »

Hi Guys,
Happy Christmas and Happy New Year!

I bought some Puma Calibre 4000s from Talent Cricket last year, and am a bit disappointed in them. The palms aren't supple at all, and I've found the grip with those hexagon-things to be inferior to the octopus style grip.  Ironically, the gloves I borrowed during a T20 game, GN Mavericks, were significantly better.  I'm after a pair of gloves that are A) Really comfortable, B) Well Padded (I'm incredible at picking up injuries), C) Have a good feel for the ball and D) Don't cost the earth (student times)

I have the tiniest hands of all time, so need Youths size...

In terms of pads, I'll likely go for the Newbery Aegis as they go under my trousers, but suggestions are welcome.

Are you looking at a total budget of 45 pounds? The very cheapest pads might get you a bit of change out of 20 quid if you are lucky, leaving enough money for a fairly low end selection of gloves.

I will have a look at what i have tomorrow, pm me for a chat mate.

Hi guys, sorry for the confusion, 45 is for the gloves alone, the pads I can get for £25.
Thanks for the responses, I'll have a look :)
