Why aren't the pros wearing them yet?

Masuri tweeted a pic of this. They retweeted, and replied to everyone that said nice things about it. They ignored both the ones on the fence and the ones who slated it.

I merely asked why no pro's were yet to wear it, and what pro's are signed up to wear it in the near future.

They blocked me. Which to me speaks volumes.

But you have to see it from a punters view not a CBF punters view either remember the forum is not a insight into buying habits of regular cricketers.

Why are they not wearing them maybe they think there gash maybe they prefer the older version maybe there been not a great supply who knows?

I think it going to be a interesting time to see what the paid players in time turn to if they do not like this helmet.

Can they still wear their old helmet at that level when these become widely available,  or will they have to change it to the latest one?

To be honest the peak does stand out, but it could have looked worse.

Has anyone tried one on for a net or a bit of batting? I love my old Masuri and I'm not sure I could see enough out of that new grill!
Yes I've tried on the various models and both the comfort levels and vision aspects are excellent. The double grill designs work well and gives the batsmen a greater field of vision.

The helmets are getting a lot of stick based upon a few photos that really don't show the helmet for what it is.

I personally like the new helmets and think they look better than than the other helmets in the same safety class, namely the Ayrteks. Just my personal opinion, but I think the new Masuri's will continue to dominate sales if not opinions....and ultimately that's what matters.

I agree, player endorsement always helps as does shelf appeal and the new models will certainly have that.

Quick stock update received from Masuri this morning, is that the new Vision Series helmets will be available in around 2 weeks.

We have added the new ranges to our website, with prices starting from under £45 for a senior helmet that uses the new Halo System peak design.

We're expecting some new photos from Masuri that will give a more realistic view of what the helmets looks like. These should be with us next week and will be posted as soon as we have them.

For those that still want the best selling classic design, we have good stocks of Navy, Green and Maroon in all sizes in both the Test and Elite Series.

We did have a special offer on the Elite Series helmets up until a few days ago.

Honestly speaking demand for current Elite and Test models is just as strong as ever, with them outselling all other brands by a big margin.
