It wasn't like Finch didn;t give about half a dozen chances the other day, was it?

That's cricket really, it didn't matter where England bowled the other day the pitch was a good one and Finch rode his luck.

Didn't he hit a pitched up ball to Mid off?

I heard they were taking Finn right back to the basics as he has the Yips big time.

They've sent him back to England this afternoon to work on technical aspects of his game... must have a serious problem somewhere.

Giles said he's lacking confidence.

not surprised with the way he's been treated.

the treatment of Finn is almost criminal.  the kid has serious talent and theyve totally mucked him up.  sending him home to england is possibly the worst thing they could do.  if england team amangement had any brains at all then he would be sent to Perth and spend a week or so with the Dennis Lillee.  no one fixes/helps/reinvents a fast bowler with genuine talent like the great DK Lillee.

What is England doing, sending finn back because he needs to work on his technical stuff?..... He has got the most talent in the team and probably the 3rd best bowler at the start of the tour, but England just basically ruined his talent

Ahhhh - a penny for Angus Fraser thoughts! Quite a mentor for the lad he was, and quite tight-lipped he has been.

Where will the management bus career out of control to next i wonder?

ok, I'll play..........

because of their troubles in facing the angle of the left arm bowler going accross them, england management now advise that Ian Bell and Kevin Pietersen will be batting left handed from now on  :D

Finn being sent home says a huge amount about the England bowling coaching. Basically admitting they not up to it and screwed his technique. Finn has the potential to be as good as McGrath if handled correctly. I remember Andy Caddick saying he needed to bowl all the time to maintain his rhythm. I suspect Finn is a similar type and having just sat and carried drinks for months hasn't helped.

Niiiice! I'll play too.

Moving forward in ODi's, all batsmen to apply the 'forward press' to the quicks in order to save time.
Tavare to be brought in as specialist batting coach.
Root to be front line spinner and pinch-hitter
Morgan, Buttler and Bopara immediately dropped for irresponsible batting
Finn as Captain
All pre-match menus to be slipped under Lehman's door
Let's change the colour of our kit again, that'll make us look hard!

England's record of screwing up promising youg bowlers is shocking - and has long been a bone of great contention around Yorkshire because for years we felt we were by far the greatest victims of the phenomenon.  Richard Dawson, Chris Silverwood, David Wainwright and Adil Rashid all came back from winters with England or England Lions somehow the lesser - Rashid was by far the worst victim, going to South Africa an accurate leg spinner who ripped it both ways from a slightly unconventional action and coming back barely able to land a ball with a new mixed action which didn;t even meet the criteria of technical correctness!

Gold!
Big Daz would insist on a sample of each item on the menu before passing judgement....

I still cant believe this finn thing.....I thought at the start of the tour, he would be englands johnson (so to speak)

Do the lad a favour and send him to Lillee, otherwise I fear he may be lost

I like this game!!

England call up 1 player from each of the U15s, U17s, U19s to disguise Joe Root in the middle order and removing pressure from him.
All England players are given Instructions to grow facial hair in attempt to find Samson powers. Joe Root allowed to have one knitted for him.
England bring back the bold chest lettering on their strip, only for the word to be mirrored like an Emergency response Vehicle as this has proven a successful way to get ahead of people on British roads.
Joe Root allowed to have lights in the heels of his spikes which flash when he runs.
