Graffiti Gloves (Photoshop by me)
« on: January 23, 2014, 03:33:40 PM »

Hi guys, I was wanting the forum's opinion on these, after seeing the proposed idea by iconic cricket to use snakeskin on keeping gloves I came up with this.
My question is, do you think this is too bright and out there for the modern day keeper, would it appeal to a younger audience such as kids and teenager's and would you wear this glove yourself?.
Cheers,
Rowan.

Maybe for street cricket but best suited for very young players.
A good idea, make wicket keeping 'cool'

Love the idea and I reckon it could definitely have a market. I think that perhaps some work could be done on the colours though - perhaps something that complements the rest of the design? If you look at Icon's snakeskin and SS's camo scheme, both of them used the colour of the gloves as a cue for the colour of the highlights...

Having said that, I'm not a keeper. I am a child though.

I probably wouldn't wear them but they do look cool.

I like them, wouldn't wear them myself. Think they'd sell though!

I like them. If you could incorporate the brand name in the graffiti that would make a little more sense

What about a "banksy" set off softs. For the older more intellectual generations.

Can have the pads insides with different copies of banksy's graffiti, but the outside stays a traditional pad style in lovely off white.

I had the same idea coincidentally mate!, but it would take a lot of work to acquire the licensing rights to use banksy's work.

How about someone comes up with some wipe - clean type gloves with markers. Or something like those bears you used to get that you could draw all over them chuck in the washing machine. Sorry guys, sounds a bit odd, long thursday...
