Nz vs India odi series
« on: January 28, 2014, 06:44:48 AM »

Anyone watching the odi series?

Nz Definately giving India a run for there money. Are nz the most under rated side in the world at the moment?

Guptil
Ryder
Williamson
Taylor
Mccullum
Anderson

I think that's a pretty awesome top six. Capable of some big scores.

As for India, they seem lacking in bowling(rayudu on at moment who seems to not know his run up!) and have dropped shaka dhawan who was not long ago being hailed the next hero?

Is it not time pujara was bought into the odi set up? (Kohli open pujara at 3?)

As a kiwi, I'm loving every minute of the series! Our top 6 certainly has firepower in McCullum, Ryder and Anderson, mixed with the temperament of Williamson, Taylor and Guptill (who can all go big too!). Once we start to produce more consistent showings on the world stage we will be a force to be reckoned with.

As for India, they lack swing bowlers, which you need in NZ. I agree Pujara would be a vital asset in these conditions, but have him open. As we saw today, Kohli is such a devastating force at 3, why change that?

Agreed. Finally a top 6 we can be proud of. even the number 7 and 8 can bat.

Why move Kohli to open when he is amazing at 3, I bet it never happens again after today. Batting at 3 and opening are entirely different approaches to batting.

I would say SA and Australia are best ODI sides at the moment. India are way off the pace (at the moment).

Don't forget the series win against South Africa in South Africa!

Great to see McCullum contributing. Captains knock. But how good is Taylor at the moment!!!!

Finished in style. Massive six!

India's bowling so poor. They should win nothing with an attack like that,

Sneaky bet on nz for the World Cup me thinks.
