why oh why do we insist on picking dernbach? I would probably go as far to say he is the worst bowler in county cricket. hasnt played a game since september and keeps thinking no one can spot his slower balls. ive got news for you, we can all pick them, consistantly as you bowl them pretty much every other ball!  Ravi bopara shouldnt be in the side either. I know hes been on tour and playing since october but where is stokes? surely stokes and jordan would be better than dernbach and bresnan/bopara?

danny briggs does a job at t20 level but not international level.

on a plus point the boundary is a chip hit for 6 and the aussies have picked a inexperienced leggie havent they? 200 isnt a massive score by the sounds of it.

Stokes was struggling physically in the last game I seem to remember.

Inexperienced Leggie? I'm pretty sure his only games at pro level are 4 big bash games. Nothing else. Definate clubbie, but I wouldn't out it past him tearing through England. Lol

Pretty dire bowling from England, but that takes slit away from the Aussies batting, which we shouldn't, they batted well, hit the ball hard, and utilised the short boundary.
So hopefully our power batsmen should do the same.

On use side, we're is kp?

Just thinking that
Hales
Lumb
Wright
Kp
Morgan
Buttler

Would be one serious top 6! Powerrrrrrrr

Sums up dernbach, he's 37 off 18 balls, gets a wicket with ball 19 and celebrates. I would be embarrassed to celebrate bowling that tripe.

Nasser said that England haven't successfully chased a score in the 200's! This batting line up had better fire - this must be Bopara's last chance - he has to get a big score!

I was embarrassed to be English when he celebrated getting finch out in the 150s as if he was the man. I'd have just walked back to my run up with my head down.

Dernbach and Briggs are every bit as clubbie as Nathan Lyon is in Test cricket.  There's just nothing to them in terms of threat.

Thats why Lyon out bowled Swann in the recent test series - get over it mate... his record is not that bad.
Will never be a match winner, but does a fantastic holding job for the quicks

Great power hitting by the Aussies but with England's batting and these small boundaries should hopefully be a good chase.

I'm going to keep calling it the way it is!  He outbowled a guy who was crocked and admitted he should have retired, whose shoe laces he would not have been fit to tie when he was fit...gee, way to go!

Wright and Hales gone in an over. Good way to start the chase for a team that are stronger in T20's
