Thank you to Jake....
« on: February 05, 2014, 12:43:58 PM »

Rather than just giving a recomendation on the system that not everyone see's I thought I would start a thread to show my appreciate and to give my upmost recommendation to those wanting either a local supplier or net supplier.

I've previously used the likes of Morrant, Owzat, Cricket Direct for equipment in the past often paying more than I should on occasion as I didn't know any better.

After using this forum and coming across Vitas who are relatively local to me, Jake hooked me up with some E41 gloves after responding to a thread of mine asking if they could be bought anywhere, from that I got some X181 gloves and Legend pads from him, each time he offered me VERY competitive prices and even managed to wangle some 2014 Legend pads rather than the 2013 range that I was originally going for. More recently I've bought an E41 Test bat, Gn1000 duffle and some Nike shoes, all of which he hand delivered. Since then he's been by to collect the bat in order to repair and add some binding on to the handle.

I really can't recomend their service enough, and working in sales myself, I know what value good customer service brings to a business and that it will mean people will return time and again.

So a big thumbs up to Jake (and Robin) at Vitas.

Thank you for the post mate, our pleasure to assist you.

The downside of hand delivery is when there is a delivery error (ie me forgetting the shoes) there is no courier to blame! Oooops.

Your handle feels much thicker now, i'll get the small repair sorted and pop it all over along with your shoes mate. :)

ill back you up there, very pleased with the customer service received from them.
Jake is a top bloke, was on the phone for hours talking about kit. Will be going back to Vitas for some new boots and a few other things before the season starts.

I'd like to thank Jake for the light he has brought into our lives, and in advance for all the cake he is going to feed me.

He really is a warm human being!

He really is a warm human being!

Perhaps you should let go of him now Fattus? People don't like being cuddled for all that long mate!  :D

Although I've still not bought from vitas, I've exchanged some mails with jake and his communications and willingness to go the extra mile is incredible (though it's the same with all of the other sponsors here too!)

Perhaps we should form a circle around Jake and show our appreciation? Or is that a bit much lol

Had a nice visit earlier, picked up some aero p2s and shorts plus a adipro helmet (think you might have to send it jake after looking at diary >:() had a nice net and tried out various gm demos, must admit I wasn't that impressed to be honest, tried some high and mid range and not my sort of bat, ended up with my slazenger and was very glad I chose that bat last year. Looking forward to a good year. I know a few are going to the forum meet, I hope you have a good time, you certainly won't be short of things to try, the B&s gloves are stunning when tried, they will be my next purchase and the pads you can hold on a couple of fingers, loads of bats to drool over and the B&s feel nice but again I'm not keen on stickers, wish more would go down route of slazenger v5 or willostix type, much prefer classy style myself. What ever you do take money as you won't leave empty handed ;)
Once again jake appreciate the advice and time

Glad you enjoyed your brief visit. Have a think about club nights, i'm sure we can sort something out :)
