new SS Bat shapes
« on: February 07, 2014, 07:09:51 AM »

following Chad's post with his new as bat, I thought I would have a sniff around the online stockist website. not something I have done for ages.

I have seen a few bats coming from the SS factory now with the "players profile", with what online stockist call the fuller profile. far be it for me to ask if these are similar shapes to the Spartan, Michael Clarke shape, but I am a huge fan of this shape...

two questions, firstly when will these be in the uk and secondly, what do you guys think?!

I don't think they will be in the UK thanks to the 'SS' sticker... :( Those do look lovely though, I really like the Platinum stickers and the profile. Maybe they will release a 'TON' sticker in that style, I'm sure they would sell!

Nice looking bats but too lavish a bow for me

I would love to try that profile but would be worried about breaking the toe.

Well,

I personally love fuller profiles and is good to see them changing there shapes which they don't often do. These exact bats wont be coming to the UK because they are 'SS' branded instead of 'TON' hopefully they will have the same shapes with the Ton Branding.

Did they mention anything about weights for those bats?

Surely with that much wood they would all be in the heavier side of the ledger?

Love the look of the full profiles! As long as the pickup is good and the weight is around 2.10-12 then I'm a big fan. I suspect that most of these player  profile clefts need to be of lightish weight to keep up with the modern day call for big bats.

They look fantastic.
I've seen them on SQ Sports website, the new incarnation of 'Shaz's stockroom' (I think).

Very tempting indeed. The grade 2's look cracking value.

perfect for the faster track but not enough meat in the toe for my liking, look like they could get a hammering on some of the low wickets i play on.

We've had this shape in regularly over the last 2 years, but always plain with only the embossed TON stamping to the side. Its always been stocked in the top grade only, but we have a select few coming in, in the lower grades too with the full TON stickers and branding this time.

The new softs range will be available in March.
