As you guys now I've been thinking about a BDM Titanium for awhile and been looking for a good deal on one.. So I had emailed Ajit at onlinestockist regarding this and he kept a look out for me for a special bat in my weight 2.8-2.9

So I got an email from him yesterday.. I've just placed an order for this beauty.. Will take more pics and see how it plays once I take delivery.. Also got the BDM Sachin gloves, was leaning towards BAS gloves but financially it made more sense to get the gloves with the bat shipping to the US is costly...

can't wait till I take delivery...  Can't thank Ajit enough with no pressure to buy help, he kept a look out for the perfect bat for me and didn't push me to buy until i was 100% satisfied...

bat looks great. Btw Asian bats have lots of stickers because the willow is not true G1 - so they cover them up with stickers and pass them off as g1.

Hey mate, looks like you get plenty of wood for your money anyway . . .so take it your having one from Robert Pack then?

Musama - how would stickers cover up the fact a bat is not grade one? How do you define G1 willow?

The willow has blemishes on it and stickers cover it up - its not about my way of defining g1, its about how the companies define g1. Think about it - All the British brands like newbery, salix and M&H has minimal stickers but all the Asian brands like SS, BDM, SG and RNS have huge stickers - that is why

mate was doubting what they do but surely isn't more imporatnt to have a blemish free face rather than splice, back etc!

Plus i believe salix etc are minimal as they are traditional rather than for any other reason . . .

Dan - Still getting one from Rob.. His 2010 stickers won't be ready till Jan.

M91- that blade seems amazing to me 13 straight grains no knots or blemishes that I see.  If the spine has a knot or blemish will it really matter? But I was thinking about taking the BDM stickers off and putting Puma ones on.. Now I will make sure to take a pic of the spine and check it out..

During my conversation with Rob, he said he grades all his bats on performances and the G1 bats he has have knots in them and he's not worried about them as the strengthen the bat and play well..

im not saying all bats are not g1 - there are some which are, but with these stickers, MORE can be passed off as G1

looks like a hell of a lump of wood.  Good to know that Ajit did look out for a beaut of a bat rather than just pass any old one of to you.

Enjoy using it

Stickers or not, alot of people (not just on the forum) pay too much attention to cosmetics of a bat.. I mean ya its great to have a good looking bat (one of the main reasons i bought this one) but doesn't the performance of the bat be the most important?? I mean I find it kinda odd that so much attention is given to the idea that these bat makers get larger stickers to cover up blemishes or the faults in the willow.. Has anyone thought about maybe the market they sell in likes larger stickers? I mean aren't these the same bat making companies that produce majority of the bats in the world? They make bats for every brand and I'm no expert on their processes but unless the separate willow clefts at the factory and say this cleaner nicer cleft will be used for kookaburra bat and this less beautiful willow would be used for SG bats thats a different story.. Many of our batmakers have visited these factories maybe they can comment on it.

Indian brands use big stickers because there's more space for a logo and therefore more advertising. Sehwag doesn't use those Hero Honda stickers to cover up the blemishes on his bat, same as Dhoni with his RBK ones. They're all quite square and boxed shaped.
