It knocks off around 125g by going from a steel grille to a Ti grille, the model you have in the PremierTek is already about 80g lighter than the Carbo version some members on here purchased when comparing like for like with both fitted with a steel grille.

A few factory make the adidas version lighter in the fact that it has an EPS liner rather than an A.C.I.S and also the shell materials are different as the Ayrtek one is reenforced with glass fibres which improves impact dissipation where the adidas version didnt need this element due to having the EPS liner which adds structural rigidity to it.

Ok so after two net sessions I think I may just get used to it. Visibility is certainly better but I am still struggling with perfect fit. Also does anyone know if the liner can be washed to get rid of sweat etc.
Since no one else has an ayrtek in my whole league or neighouring league the lads could only relate to Sanga and I think it had something to do with me finding the middle unusually more than often :-).

I posted this in another thread I think, but what really helped me, was not the sweat bands, but wearing a bandana under the helmet. made a huge difference. try it out !

it makes my head even hotter and sweat even more. I also found it made helmet slip a bit more.

My Ayrtek dedinitely has the best visibility of any helmet I've worn. Normally hate wearing helmets but with the adjustable liner and the way the grille is I feel a lot more at ease wearing it.

We have some sweat pads that can be added to the liner if you find sweat a real issue.

I've always worn Masuri so have got used to the shape of the grille. Find the Albion grille to be too bulky. In the end it's just about getting used to the design. I'll be reluctant to change mine as I'm used to batting in that shape, that's all it is for me.
