No, but who's to say Ryder doesn't have a more extreme case of what Trotts got?

I'm not commenting on his illness as I have no idea what he is suffering from. He gets drunk, starts fights and generally acts unprofessional. So as I say, he'll have private medical cover, let them and he sort himself out and then and only then should he prove himself should he be back in pro cricket. Until then, why should cricket or cricket fans pay for someone to basically just pee it up,the wall and act like that?

The fact still remains that most of our employers wouldn't tolerate the kind of behaviour Jeese repeatedly exhibits. If we behaved like that we'd be sacked, why should he be any different?

There are many people with family issues, illness challenges and mental health problems who try to hold down a job and contribute.

It's just too easy in modern society to blame over-indulgence and bad behaviour on something that happened in your past.

He's been happy to take the money and the adulation in the past - it cuts both ways.

There is obviously something very wrong with you. Clearly he keeps turning back to going out and getting drunk, or doing something stupid, due to an underlying issue. It's people like you who are ignorant to the fact people have issues, that things get unseen, and people don't feel like they can come out and tell people about it. Yes he's done wrong, yes he's probably annoyed a lot of people. But everyone deserves help.

A bloke in my old work came back from dinner smelling off whiskey.
Boss asked why and he said he's spilled some on him while looking for some thing I. The garage.

He obviously didn't believe him as the smell was on his breathe. He phoned hr, and advised to send him home. Which he did.

Hr contacted our personal health department, who phoned and said we could help find out if he had a problem and get health assistance.

He had 3 month of, with help supplied by work to over come his addiction.

Dude came back a changed man, and until we all got made redundant 2 years later never touched a drop again(haven't seen him since).



An employee can help, but only if someone is willing to be helped.

Being an alcoholic is an illness, some people don't realise this.

He needs professional help & support and not to be left alone.

Yeah, I'm heartless and never understand psychological or mental illness. Give it a break, you know nothing of my life, who or what Ives even or suffered. How do you know I've never suffered mental illness? How do you know I've not watched a best friends arm blown off and gone and picked it up for him? . If you notice I never once say about his illness as I have no idea what's up with him, that is for truly qualified medical professionals to decide. I merely commented that just because someone is I'll doesn't mean you bend over backwards and indulge it.  As I said, he will have full medical insurance and will (if he wants it!) receive far superior medical assistance than normal people with far worse psychological/physical or mental illness will ever receive.

He's a bloody sportsman, not a god.

As for alcohol, again I'll leave that to a medical professional. I hope he goes away, is surrounded by proper friends who help hima nd he returns in  a week, month or year fully recovered.

I think it's time this topic became locked! Lots of rumours flying about and if it is true that there are professional international cricketers on here they may be friends of Ryder's and may not appreciate what's being said.

You know what, I really can't be bothered continuing. Believe what you want. You know nothing and are claiming I've told him to bugger off when all along I've said I hope he gets the medical help he may need.

As said before  hopefully he recovers in a day, week, month or year. However long it needs.
