that is going to take one special cleft to find that. 2.10 with a high spine 42mm edges and a longer blade with zero or minimal concaving. taking into consideration the grip, binding and stickers probably add 2-3 oz thats going to be a massive bat for that weight.

That's one hell of a rider!

See if you can get the moon on a stick as well...  ;)

I now have visions of forum sponsors and batmakers on a Lord of the Rings-type quest for the magical willow trail at the end of the earth.  You can't miss it, it glows gold and any ball that it smites blazes a fire trail to the boundary

I would also suggest B3 and I would suggest you'll be looking at crown grade.

That will be one heck of a bat if you find it...

would you use a bat like this? there is nothing to say it will perform any better than any other bat.

what does soft to medium pressing mean?

I appreciate it is your money to spend how you want and to try to get a bat like this, but frankly you have just as much chance scoring a hundred with one of Aldred's glorious butterfly bats.

p.s. sorry for being grumpy - you should want to dream of a bat like this - we all do really!!

i have a 2.7oz with 35mm edge 65mm spine adn 10 -12 grains with a perfect face ............. so I think this will be easy to make ......... especially if it is 42mm edge and 50mm spine.

basically just all edge and no meat to the back like a kippax collossus.

Longer blade and spine height could be compromised.

No harm in trying, Everyone suggesting B3, I will wait for couple of days for others opinion and probably will give a shout to B3.

for me a 50mm spine isnt high, particularly with the massive edges you would just have a bat with all edge and no spine. 50mm would be a high spine with 20-25mm edges. 42mm edges with a 65-70mm spine i would say would be the minimum to be high. with no concaving thats pretty much impossible unless you over dry a cleft or find a one in a million cleft. i think there needs to be some form of compromising with this.
