"Best grip on the market"
Any testing to back it up. Gm did well to copy the style so quick, to get them out before this launch.

Just wondering has anyone actually met Lekka in person? He just might be an interesting bloke who unfortunately rubs everyone up the wrong way when posting.

Just curious (and not attempting to criticize him or anything here so don't take this in the wrong context) what technologies are these? I've not really followed the lekka stuff much on this forum and can't seem to find much detail on his website so am quite genuinely interested  :).

If he's convinced someone these are "new technology" he's a good salesman, I'll give him that!

I have'nt seen anybody use crocodile leather in cricket products before.
One thing I dislike about this forum is that everyone talks so highly of the forum sponsors, but as soon as someone like lekka makes a new product, everyone speculates.
This forum is supposed to be an open place for people to voice their opinion, not to be hated on because they are achieving something you wish you could.
I didnt mean for this to come across as rude of offensive to anybody, but this does upset me.
Rowan.

The thing is, and i am only commenting about this specific product here (i haven't looked at/thought about many Lekka products for a while) - this grip is not particularly new or unique. They have been available from a well known grip supplier for a long time, GM were trialling them on their bats over 18 months ago, and introduced them to their range in November.

Crocodile i agree appears to be new and unique, i have no idea how effective it would be but i would love to see some products, so i could try it out.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that James was a part of this forum before you and I were, and people have had several dealings with him. Some good, some bad. From what I've read over the past few years, he tries to simply sell a product that is most probably already available in a very good way in which he is able to make some sound like a new innovation. Look at the grips, compared to the GM ones. I would very much like to find out if they're from the same company or if there are any differences what are they and why are they more beneficial? When I first came onto the forum, Lekka tried selling me a set of kit for a ridiculous amount of money because of the "technology" behind the gear. Lucky I was as stubborn as always at 15 years old.

Wasn't trying to have a go at anybody before so sorry if you got the wrong message.
I never used to like James, I used to despise him. After a while i began to understood why his gear is quite expensive etc. He does have a strange sense of humour and does like to pull fun a tpeople, but once you understand that humour he is a great bloke, and definately knows his stuff about cricket gear.
Im pretty sure that the grips (Which I have realised are not called combi) are a combination of ripple, scale and octopus if I am correct, and I have not seen that available before, anywhere.
Thanks for understanding guys.

Not quite. The bottom hand on the Lekka grip is a mix of Octopus and Ripple.

James was given more than one chance on the forum but he let himself down on every occasion. He is hated by some as he has been very critical and nasty to some people when he was a member on this forum and previous forums.
In the past he has had an inflated opinion of his own kit and took every opportunity to slag off other brands, or to at least try to indicate that his kit was equal to some if the market leaders!
He is a very sharp guy and comes up with some strange ideas, but also comes up with some great ideas! So people do speculate about his new products as they are try to work out whether the product is new and interesting, is a rework of an existing product, or another hyped product!
I really don't think people 'hate' James because he is achieving something they wish they could do! I suspect there is dislike for him from some people due to his previous track record! People have long memories I'm afraid Rowan!
