England did too during the winter. Seems to be going around, then again,India have never been the best at catching.

I seem to remember when Strauss was captain, England dropping 9 or 10 in one innings against Sri Lanka - we should have won that Test but we gifted them the test with all those dropped catches!
The point is that catching is a part if the game and 99% of people hitting a ton are dropped at least once! Very rare that someone gets there without a bit of luck! McCullum was dropped twice on his way, but has done fantastically well to keep his concentration and have a chance of scoring a triple! Amazing that he scored a double hundred in the last Test too!
Does anyone know whether any player has ever scored a double, then a triple in successive Tests?

Clarke, Sanga, Bradman, Smith and Hammond have all scored back to back doubles.

Wally Hammond has also scored a double then a triple.

Don Bradman scored a triple then a double.

Cheers fella - Hammond and Bradman! I guess no massive surprises there as they are both Gods of the batting art!
If McCullum makes the triple then he should feel honoured to be in the same company as those two!

About as overrated as the SA team at the moment…

Did you ever see his T20 100 Vs Australia? Overrated pfffft! Match winner who will fail at times but is amazing when he is on song.
We're talking Test cricket. Aside from slogging around India and Bangladesh his Test record is dreadful.

Not hit abc giggle T20...

South Africa overrated? Whatever gets you to sleep at night pal...

Sangakkara done it against the mighty Bangladesh...

Hardly worth mentioning.

No one was questioning the quality of innings, the question was who has done it.

Bradman did it 3 times, A random India batsman Vinod Kambli also did it and only played 17 tests. He still did it.

Regardless of who you score runs against and the quality of attack, it's still far easier to get out than score 250+

Reckon they would let him go for the 400?

It's up to McCullum, lara famously did it and batted his team away from a result. McCullum could do it no problem.

Pitch looks flat.

I doubt nz will bowl India out on it. If they do declare it will be a draw.

Might as well let mcullum beat Lara's record and bea draw anyway. Just have a huge party to celebrate the record!
