However you look at it,  Duckworth Lewis is a measure of probability.  Sadly, what it does is use a Hawkeye approach on something where the information can stop at 0.25 of the length of the pitch,  which is what happened today for England.  Same for all teams but I'd agree it's not a good approach in a short game.

Still,  the early overs really didn't help...

Aussies trying to make a game of this? 2 drops, free hits, 5 wds
Akmal bro's playing pretty well.

Aus going the SA way, bowling pace on a spinning track.
Hoggy really struggling. Surely lyon should be in this team? Even ABD struggled to hit him in the recent tests

Stuart Broad and the England management complaining about not coming off before 5 overs due to the risk of lightening is frankly embarrassing.
If NZ had been 30 for 5 before 5 overs and then been taken off they would be going mental about it.
The chances of being struck by lightening is something like 1 in 700,000, and the comparisons with golf are ridiculous as the players have bits of metal in their hands and massive trees all over the place that attract lightening.
Have England got comical Ali in charge of PR? (Anyone under 30 might need to look that up)

Talking of lightening, we had a game a couple of years ago when the opposition were losing badly and their umpire took the players off. It wasn't raining but lightening only and about 10-15 miles in the distance. He said it is because of safety and he has known someone who got hit.

He then said we has to put the covers on, which are metal?

Didn't care about is, just the result.

If the Aussies get off to a good start, will be interesting.

This aussie bowling line up has been pretty poor (even with Johnson) in recent games in the sub continent. Embarrassing letting a team like Pakistan score so much. Lots of length bowling and full tosses.

Even with the Aussie line up, they've got no chance of chasing this given how poor they are against spin.

I think that Pakistan are decent side, they bottled it against India, but good to see it didn't get to them and they've come back.
They batted well, especially umar, and although a few freebies were given you still gotta put em away,

Now let's see what Warner and finch can do in return,

Aussies on course for a hiding, they might already be out if their net rr takes a massive hit.
20 Overs of spin ;)

There's a few chunky boys in this T20 - I like that!

Doug the Rug looks like a big chubby lug and the Pak left arm spinner looks like he has a nice moon face.

Whilst on the subject of him, it's an interesting whirl of arms before delivery, I'll bet he takes a bit of getting used to!
