2014 T20 World Cup
« on: March 16, 2014, 10:06:37 AM »

So people's thoughts?

Afghanistan looking very, very average. Can't imagine they are any better if as good as a decent ECB premier league club.

Who's you favourite for the tournament? I can't see past Australia or West Indies.

By the look of things, whoever has the most spinners will win this T20 World Cup.

I like an India v Sri Lanka final!

I hope it's the West Indies, I just love the way those blokes bat with raw talent and natural flair.

I don't expect Afghanistan to be great. But in the Asia cup they actually wasn't that bad. They did beat Bangladesh, and push Pakistan/India.

Bangladeshi keeper looks to have hurt his eye? Will they Not learn from bouchers accident? Put a helmet on, or atleast where safety specs like haddin.

I think its about time the bails and stumps were drilled and have some sort of string connecting them. Would stop this from happening.

Even wearing a helmet doesnt prevent it from happening sometimes.

Tethers could be interesting?

They just got to ensure it doesn't cause removal when not wanted.

Knowing the powers that be, either mandatory helmets, or not allowed within 3 foot of the stumps would be there solution.

I hate not having English commentators.

"If you have 72 runs for your monthly budget, you cant buy something expensive"

In relation to a misfield!

Did Sky send a team of commentators?

Maybe they will only commentate the 'big games'?

Going to be turning square towards the end of this tournament.

21 games to be played here, on 3 pitches.

No need to play any fast bowlers looking at the conditions already.
Just shows how stupid it was of England not to select samit

What about playing dernbach as a spinner?

Buttler can stand up, he can steam in but aim to ball his slower ball every ball. Then chuck the odd quick one in for variety? Lol

Samit needs to turn it first, he hasn't done that since 2008. Given the smacking he got in India he probably isn't top of the spin options - has to be KP :-)
