After only ever fitting one scuff sheet before and failing miserably due to it not sticking I thought I would ask the question.  How long after oiling do you stick on a scuff sheet

48h then a light sand. Will stick perfectly.

I oil the bat, leave it for 24 hours, rub down with a rag and from that moment leave it at least a week.
Probably an unnecessarily long time to leave it but it will always stick after that

Depends on the amount of heartwood and the finish.

Some bats absorb oil at different rates, and heartwood is often quite slow.

I always leave a bat at least overnight before any sort of adhesive (scuff sheet or fibreglass tape) is applied, you will soon know if it isn't ready and can stop the application before you ruin the sheet. Don't forget to wipe down the stickers, especially on the edges, as these won't absorb the oil

I leave a bat for 24 hours after applying salix bat wax which seems to sink into the bat quicker.. never had any problems with applying a scuff sheet with bat wax just in case you're considering it in future...

I normally wait anything up to a week to put mine on.Never had a problem

Which is recommended guys - oil, apply the scuff sheet and knocking or oil, knocking and applying the scuff sheet or does not matter as long oiled and knocked.

I generally used to oil, knock and then apply the scuff sheet (although I am no longer applying scuff sheets).

I opted for 2 coats of oil on the face and edges, one coat on the back. Lots and lots of knocking the edges and toe with a little across the the blade. Scuffed tonight and will do about another hour on the toe & edge and about half an hour on the face before netting.

Which is the best anti-scuff?

Just tried fitting one I purchased from ebay but it just won't stick. The stickers have stuck fine so I am positive it's not the bat causing the issue.

I prefer helicopter scuff personally.

The ones from Shamrock are high quality, and my 2nd choice of scuff sheet, but the pattern on the edge may put some off.

Hammer edge are decent but not as flexible and the bottom starts lifting up and curling after a few innings.

I've not used self sealing so can't comment on those.

Avoid fibreglass sheets as they're a pig to remove.
