First thing I'd do is what Chad recommend and remove the toe guard, then take it from there.

A word of warning, the BAS toe guard I tried to remove was very difficult as they are applied very well.

Any dead bat weight more than 3 ounces over what you are used to initially will create loss of timing  when you play  cut and pull shots.
