Well last game of the season today, unfotunately ended in defeat.Had my second crack at opening which I must say I love.Only made 25 today with a few good drives and cuts but got bowled pre meditating a single to cover. Not enjoyed this season as much as last mainly due to missing all of indoor nets and up to mid june due to the surgery I had last October.Main goal now is to shed a few stone and get fit.Roll on Jan/Feb for indoor nets

Still 6 friendlies to go, close defeat in the last over yesterday in a cracking game where everyone on the pitch contributed something. Wicket was bloody wet though for some reason :(

My last net tonight.

Last league game sat, and then a friendly in York Sunday, and that's 2014 done. Thank god and good riddance,

Bring on 2015

Last game of the league season yesterday. Got 50 opening the batting (should have got more but got over confident) then took 5-34 including 3 caught and bowled from my 10 overs. Incidentally that was the 2nd time I bowled all season

So the season is over. And im kinda glad in terms of my cricket. And looking forward to 2015. Make a fresh start.

The league season finished with a whimper. Rain in the morning meant a damp pitch. And the oppo doing as much as hey could to ensure it was off. Despite the umps trying.  The oppo refusal to play on the artificial meant season over.

So off we went to york early, watched our sunday oppo play in the rain. And then asked to come off the pitch while the air ambulance landed!
Cricketing first for me.
We then went out in to town and got rather drunk.

Sunday came with both sides pretty hungover. Mine last longer when I ran myself out after 5 balls. Woohoo.  Half expected it this year.

We end up on 258 for 9 off 40. And the oppo all out 170. Good game played in good spirit.

As I ended up umpiring. I filmed while I was out there. So highlights here.

Hmm vs ycscc 175 partnership highlights:

Played a friendly yesterday , despite my back locking up Saturday morning,,
Was not too bad batting, think I got 70ish,, weird how the pain subsided once I put some pads on?
But fielding was a little comical, as I couldn't even walk? Let alone bend down to pick the ball up.

Got the last league game Saturday and a six a side comp Sunday so a chiropractor gotta be visited ASAP

Played my last LMS game tonight

And we won by 3 runs in the almost pitch black, on a personal note I bowled 4 overs for jot many and took 2 wickets
Batting wise I opened and made 50 not out using my BB hulk bat sounded immense and lent it to another batsman who made 49 and out.

Good night had by all

My season came to an end nearly three weeks ago, was just about to get my big break and play as a full time bowler, rather than the team playing me as a middle order batsman.

First off, had a collision in the field and landed on my left shoulder and back. Struggled to get up, felt as if I was winded, and a lot of pain in the shoulder and back, played through it as it didn't feel bad.

Next up, I was fielding at third man, and the ball was going to fine leg, but I had to go and chase it as my team mate was slow to pick it up, dived for it, once I got up, my leg went inside, then outside, and then cracked. Couldn't put weight on the right foot and was out of the game.

Went to A&E, after a long 6 hour wait, was told nothing was wrong and that it should be fine after 2 weeks. Went back to the doctors yesterday since it's been more than two weeks and not healed, they I've torn a ligament in the foot along with a fracture, and ligament damage on the shoulder.

Out for 2 months now, but seasons near an end, but missed three games! :(

Yeah in my experience, A&E is a waste of time unless you require something for the pain/have an obvious break or dislocation. I have been twice this season, both have given me wrong diagnosis' after 4+ hour waits and required a visit to the GP to get seen to properly. You are much better off getting an emergency appointment with your doctor.

First time I've been to A&E since I was four when half of my ear was hanging off!

Funny thing is, there was a middle aged man maybe a bit older who came in got his x ray in 5 minutes, and then results soon after despite not looking as if he had no problem.

Just like to say thanks to forum members ProCricketer1982 and qasim_aziz99 for guesting for us today in our last match of the season. I suspect it was an experience they'll remember for many years to come, especially our 3rd change bowler who is somewhat unique to the game of cricket.
