we have the un-enviable trip to kingstonian on saturday to watch the rain, they are rubbish at the moment so cannot afford to miss out on the points really. sunday will be nice as away at chobham in my social side. great ground, and pub within walking distance for lunch before the game

I know the Sunday side is looking a bit thin at the moment. Currently 7 players. I am not around this Sunday as I am playing for my social side.

Absolutely strange one for me - started off the season in serious lack of touch (after a spell of 3 years out) and scratched around to get a few scores, but now, in what seems like the touch of my life - the runs dry up!!! How confusing - lets blame the low-slow pitches and equipment lol!

Quick update. It's winter here in South Africa so keeping myself busy playing some Last Man Standing.

8 games. 286 runs. 71.5 average. HS 54. 4 x 50's. Strike rate 159.

Quite happy with how I'm batting at the moment. But lets be honest LMS is just a casual slog fest.

Well it's been a mixed start to the season so far for me. Playing for the 2nds, we've won 1 game from 6. Obviously, very frustrating. On a personal note, not too bad. had a midweek game for the 3rds and went 4-0-14-4. Played a midweek game for the 1sts, 2-0-14-2. And for the 2nds, current season stats at 70.1-8-269-13, including 7-61 in one game, my best ever figures. Bit more expensive than I've been in the past couple of years, but the tracks down here are a fair bit better than I've played on before, and the standard is a little better. No complaints from me!

All packed and ready tomorrow, playing an away game overseas!
I've never been to the Isle of Wight before

Lucky you, how is the weather going to be over there?

seems like most of the matches in our league going to get rained off tomorrow.

Looking 50:50 if the game will go ahead or not. Thunder storms forecast but they might miss us!

Glorious in Yorkshire at the moment. Been up since about 6am and has been beautiful weather so far.

Still plenty f time for the rains to come before the games start this afternoon.

So far so good! Heading to the ground shortly to have a gander, really struggling at the moment due to the water table being so high! Still, I'm optimistic we might get a game in today!

The optimism was replaced with despair when I arrived at the ground in time for the heavens to open... Standing water everywhere, time to waste another Saturday lol

Going to be a miracle if we play, not driving to new Malden just to look at a wet pitch and drive home again
