we had glorious sunshine here in west somerset which meant we got our full 30 over per side in. i was working so didnt play but turned up to watch our valiant chase. needing 189 we reached 180 for the lose of 3 wickets. 3 midweek games next week so hopefully the weather improves

Dry all morning, as we went out I bat, it pee'd it down.

About 45mins lost, and reduced to 37 overs a side. I opened and got 6! Least it wasn't 8.

We was 26for 6 on a popping wicket. But recovered to 138for 9.

Then we bowled them out of the last ball for full points. As yet again(2nd time this year) a batsmen plays and misses and then just wonders of down the pitch! Stumped!

I took a catch and dropped one.

Today game was a case of win the toss- win the game.

Thankfully our skipper is an unusually decent (No Swearing Please)coin thrower!, he called it right, and we won by 9 wickets.

Even managed extra brownie points off the wife, as managed to be home by 7pm!!!

Well I was wrong.Got on on time and stayed on. Bloody forecast....
bowled them for 160 and chased it down. I got a quick fire 34.Happy with that as my first proper game back since surgery last year.Cant wait till next week now

Half way stage of our season now, still not won a single toss. Luckily yesterday they elected to bowl when I would hve batted anyway. Rolled us for 124. Then we went through them for 113, awesome win as they are top of the league with a chasing as hard as we can, only 1 point behind now I think. Week off next week due to the Tour De France

Actually dry day and flat hard wicket yesterday  :o

Ran myself out last ball of the innings for 7 as only got in with a over or 2 to go and 4 for 36 off 13 overs, majority of the points and takes me to 22 wickets on a Saturday this season (from 6 games).

Grafted my way to 17 opening the batting at Arnside (just below us in the table) before being yorked in the last over of the opening bowler's spell, the ball was swinging all over the place in overcast conditions and I'd done all the hard work...must stop trying to play shots to yorkers and just drop my bat on them.  We were 24-0 at the time, ended up 125 all out and being beaten by 10 wickets after the sun came out and the wicket had the heavy roller at tea.  Kept reasonably tidily but once the oppo had gone past 50 without loss they didn't look like getting out.  Not a good afternoon.
