Last night's LMS match was against the team with the Aldred that fasteddie sold to their skipper.  The change this time was that everyone on the team wanted to use it above the other bats they had,  so it stayed on the pitch for their entire innings.

Opening bat for the oppo had a Bulldog Pedigree Plus.  Used very effectively, sounded and went beautifully.

Asked him if i could have a look at it at drinks break. Felt very well balanced and had lots of meat.  He informed me he was sponsored a while back by Bulldog.

A very nice bat.

Wimbledon 5XI's opener had a very nice B3 2 stripe, which apparently his coach at school (an ex-pro?) got for him. Looked like the Bragg shape.

It was quite nice, and it went very well as he despatched all the filth my teammates flung at him around the park.

A number 3 today was kitted out in Salix kit, and had a nice looking Salix pod... Unfortunately it sounded terrible and went like a plank. So he swapped it for another Salix (blue stickers).. This one went much better but the fool kept toeing it. Not sure he found the middle once. Shame, second one looked good too though.

Half the oppo had optimax from owzat on Sunday.

Probably because there from that village mind!

B3 count gets bigger in our league. probably the best bat in our league(and his dad's an ex test player) trotted out with a db2 2 stripe a few weeks ago. I mentioned it looked a nice stick, and he replied "I had to get one after seeing how far your lot clear the boundaries with them.

He them proceeded to hit 60 with ease, as we got hammered.

I don't recall. I think it was the one you sold on, but don't quote me on that!

Talking of little guys, been involved with the "Chance to Shine" initiative for youngsters and just think it's a great step forward.
I know a lot of suppliers are starting to get involved more.

Played against a guy using a nice Hits Hard yesterday, can't remember anything else of note other than a horrendous fake GM Catalyst that had all gold/bronze colour stickers!

Played against a side with an old Kookaburra ridgeback on display, as well as an (I'm assuming custom) old Warsop that had the batsman's name on the sticker from the handle down the spine of the bat.
Also noticed a chase t20 edition 150 finback.

Spotted a bulldog at the weekend - not sure which model but it looked a venerable beast.
