Most gloves these days are light. I can't remember ever trying on a pair and thinking damn these are heavy. Some gloves feel bulkier than others.

Funnily enough i was weighing pairs of gloves today (some for selling on) and ended up deciding on sticking with my GM 909 d30s from last season as opposed to some Woodstock Platinums I acquired for this season. The same with the pads too.

The difference can be a couple of ounces per glove taking into account the right hand glove is heavier than the left due to extra protection (for right handers). It's obviously more regarding the pads.

However, in the end it was actually the feel of the gloves, fit, and when I had a bat in my hand that made me decide to stay with my lighter GMs.

This is a real shame as the Woodstocks look the business and the protection will be top notch but for a 40 somethinger, the less weight i have to lug around the quicker and more mobile I can be...

Well, I just got a new SG kit shipped through a friend in India and was taking pictures and weighing them for the 2014 kit thread.

So here is the picture.

New Balance Achieve are the lightest I've seen.  Can't remember the weight though - watch our video review to find out...

My BAS Legend gloves are the lightest I have. I did have a set of Kooka Kahuna 800 gloves at one stage and thought they were extremely heavy. Just my opinion though.
